Careers: Work Environment Fairmount Center was the first clinic to provide safe, legal abortion services in the state of Texas. We are recognized nationally for our work. We have pioneered individual counseling services and specialized pain control techniques. We are known for the respectful, caring environment we provide for our patients. Organization members take pride in learning and growing as new technologies and developments in abortion care become available. One of the goals of the organization is to create a working environment where people respect each other and work together toward a common goal. Creating this type of environment requires special people who are disciplined, professional, courteous, and skilled in interpersonal relationships. Clinic staff consists of physicians, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, and counselors (bachelor's degree required). We employ both part-time and full-time staff. Our work week is Tuesday through Saturday. We are located just north of downtown Dallas in the Uptown area. This area provides a pleasant and dynamic setting for our facility.
